We are officially 25 days away from the first game of the NFL season. What you just read probably made a few of you smile. Might make a few Wives and Girlfriends cringe. Players flyin' around hitting each other and making plays. There's nothing like watching a good game on a lazy Sunday afternoon. There's one more aspect to the NFL that no other sport is like...
Fantasy Football. Boom. There I said it. I know what you're thinking right now, "But Chase there's Fantasy Basketball and Baseball and hell there's even Fantasy Golf. Those don't come close to how much fun, entertaining and exciting Fantasy Football. Fantasy Football is like nothing else. It allows you to be the GM of your own team. Decide who you would pick in a draft and put on the field to produce. Sometimes you get mixed emotions. Say you're a Patriots fan, but you know Peyton Manning is going to put up more points this year so you have to draft him. The #1 rule to follow in Fantasy is you cannot draft with your heart. Even though thats the rule we all still do it. At least 1 or 2 picks is always persuaded by who are favorite players and teams are. So with that here are a few steps to having a successful fantasy season.
1. Set It Up - Get your league going and get a draft date picked. Drafts should be fun and exciting. Drafting is half the fun of the league. So let it be.
2. No What If"s - After you draft don't look back. Even if your team doesn't look exactly how you wanted. There's still ways to win. Free agency and you never know, maybe you got some sleepers.
3. Enjoy The Ride - Make smart decisions and go with your first instinct when it comes who to play. Name your starters and sit back and enjoy the games. Or at least try.
4. Trash Talk and Have Fun - Get your message board fired up about who's the best team. Hopefully it's your team and rub it in everyone's face. Take your confidence all the way to the championship and get your bragging rights for the whole off-season!
Hope everyone has a good time at their upcoming drafts. I know I will. Stay Good - Chasey T
